Overview
CNSE held its 9th Annual Industry Day on May 15 on the theme Machine Awareness and Learning". It was attended by over 60 people from outside Caltech. Streaming videos of some of the Caltech faculty lectures are available.
The 9th Annual Industry Day, sponsored by the NSF Center for Neuromorphic Systems Engineering of the California Institute of Technology is devoted to Machine Awareness and Learning. Presentations by Caltech faculty members will focus on the latest results from a number of ground-breaking areas, including
- machine learning and awareness
- human-machine interfaces
- sensing and behavior
- neuroprosthetics
- control systems
The plenary talk will be given by Mark Tilden of WowWee (Hasbro), inventor of BEAM Robotics. Also scheduled is a panel discussion with industry leaders.
